FROM THE HEART – FOR ALL CHRISTIANS

Before I get to the subject matter of importance today –
the next time someone starts squawking at you about:
global cooling (which had man’s total destruction about twenty years ago), global warming (which had man’s total destruction up to about a year  ago), and now global climate change (at some future date they keep  changing – yes, they are soooooo smart they cannot decide whether it will be cooling or heating that will kill us all – soon),
Please remember weather events such as the “dustbowl” (1934 – 1937 drought over many farming states during The Great Depression),
‘1900 Galveston Hurricane’ (look it up to be horrified),
many Nor’easters (nor’easter is basically when a big storm moving across the country from west to east meets a big storm from the Atlantic into America mid to above the Carolinas),
and all the recorded climate catastrophes
over thousands of years of man’s written word.

Many think we are in the end time scenario of the Bible; but are we? Well, it is a hard point to argue against when we look around our nation today. But, we are to carry on in faith until the Lord comes for His own, His church. As I look at America today, I can scarcely believe my eyes and ears. Men of religious authority are teaching the flock of things apostate in nature. Preaching such shocking and twisted doctrine such as basing one’s ministry on riches for works, of reparations from the innocent, of re-defining Jesus’ definition of marriage . . . I even heard from the grapevine, of those in the know, of a major leader claiming God is telling him to nix a Commandment, add to another, and to create a whole new one.  To make a complete list of such twisted doctrine would require more documentary space than anyone would endure to read. But we have clear authority in the Bible to describe this phenomenon . . .

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

How could any Christian read the Parables in Matthew, and live their lives willfully against the life lessons He gave to all of us? Upon judgement, telling God that you had an Earthly teacher lead you astray will not help you.

We look around at our world that is changing rapidly. What would not have been acceptable even 40 years ago barely phases a desensitized America. To put a name to the sins  . . .

Pride (Satan fell from grace over this one.)

Stirring up dissention.

Murder.

Lying.

Cheating.

Vanity.

Greed.

Envy.

Laziness.

Wrath.

Lust.

Gluttony.

Fornication. (Premarital sex, extramarital sex, any sex outside Jesus definition of marriage.)

Rape.

Some of these are actually offshoots of others on this list – but, most folks don’t think things through far enough to see that truth. Vanity covers a multitude of offshoots. I am sure there are many offshoots of these above, but you can see the words, and should have the ability to self-govern yourselves just as the Christian American Founders knew you could when they wrote The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution.

OH !!!!! My bad! The Greatest Political Experiment EVER died a slow death, when too many Americans stopped being able to Self-Govern themselves. They pushed The Lord out of their lives, families, schools, businesses, churches, entertainment, and local / state / federal governments. Without being the strong CHRISTIAN nation we once were, we no longer required the citizens to conduct themselves according to God’s Commandments, and The Lessons of The Lords Parables.

If Christians were all truly Christian, when they confessed their sins to The Lord, with penitent hearts, they would be changed . . . And the nation would not be run by unholy liars and cheats, and our children would not be out of reasonable control. Our entertainment would not be the stuff of the list above.

Today I read . . . Matthew 20:17 -19

“And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.”

Jesus came to teach, to tell us to love one another, and to sacrifice Himself to cover our sin – eradicated by His blood, then to come back to be seen by hundreds, thus proving what He told us is true.  We each decide for ourselves. When we become His, we are changed, and that list above becomes our list of things we endeavor to not do. We have a list that soon replaces the negative, and endeavor to live in the positive . . .

Christian Love.

Humility.

Healing.

TRUTH.

Faith.

Generosity.

Charity.

Honest Endeavor.

When I read the Matthew scripture above, I remembered that we are supposed to live our lives with Jesus as our example. How many of our leaders are a good example for our children? If not, why are they in office? How many of you are good replacement examples?

If you are a God fearing Christian, changed forever with Baptism by The Holy Spirit, go to my commentaries in webcommentary.com under Juanita Holloway-Walters and read a few of the “Why Not Me?” Commentaries. Hopefully you will be set on fire for being whoever you and The Lord knows you are. Pray for the Lord to lead you to much better teachers than me, or make you a better teacher. Then you will be able to follow through with your God given rights and talents to be an amazing example. When there are enough of you in your families and communities, you will set your community on fire to do positive things together. You will become examples to all of our children.

Your positivity in your faith will stop the negative folks in their current paths. The negative folks will either crawl back under the evil rock they came from, or they, too, in your love for the enemy, will find their evil natures shrink to make room for Godly purpose.

God bless and keep you and yours. America is counting on you.

FOR MY SMOKING FRIENDS, AND THOSE THAT DO NOT SMOKE AND MAY BE INTERESTED IN MY STORY

My 3 regular specialists in the large medical group I am enrolled in are awesome. I had a problem with 3 other specialists brought in for consultation.

– One doctor last year saying, “You know soon no doctor will be allowed to treat you if you do not stop smoking.” He is a podiatrist who did not help me with an ingrown toenail.
– Another surgeon who was the 2nd surgeon on a team of 2 had “no problem” with my smoking before the surgery, and it was discussed. He also had no problem taking the money my 2 insurances paid – but he belittled, and bullied me for 3 years after the surgery.
– And another specialist recently gave me a fifteen minute tirade about how he would not do surgery on me because I smoke (even though my many surgeries have been a success in spite of what he thinks about smoking). He refused to tell me the results of my Upright Open MRI until I quit smoking. He insinuated I needed surgery, but would not do it on me until I quit smoking. He was unbelievably arrogant, belittling, and harassing in his demeanor – and got just short of completely in my face at the end of the consultation.

So I wrote a letter briefly praising my 3 regular specialists, and then giving a blow by blow account of 3 consultations over 3 years that had specialists belittling me, harassing me, and bullying me – and two did not do the consults for which they were paid to do.

I wrote a letter to the head Administrator of the large medical group, and in that letter among other things regarding my care I included the following about my smoking – this is an excerpt from the middle of the very long expose/letter:

…     I looked up the government’s study and results regarding cigarette smoking. I was interested in the section regarding addiction – which is a very lengthy read. It talks about how many just cannot quit. Through many attempts in the late 80’s and early 90’s to quit smoking, without good result, I discovered each time that I became horribly ill. The longest attempt was 3 weeks, and I was horribly ill for a little over 3 weeks. The discovery that I could not be hypnotized was the most interesting aspect of these really awful attempts to quit. Other aids for cessation that I used at different times: pills, patches, and gum. I had adverse effects from the pills; and I cheated regularly on the patches, and on the gum. It is important to note the following, which the government study on this cigarette / nicotine addiction supports:

  • I am truly addicted to cigarettes / nicotine, and it is more difficult for women to quit.
  • My parents were chain smokers – and if you buy into second hand smoke – this would explain that my addiction is a 62 year / entire life addiction – and possibly why I tolerate it so well. It also explains why I started smoking soon after leaving my childhood home for married life. At that time the majority of my friends, co-workers, and family were (some still are) cigarette smokers. I believe that I am the person who simply cannot quit an entire life addiction.
  • I have been living with pain for over 35 years, and cigarettes are a large part of my many years success of controlling pain – a large part of my pain management in the form of instant comfort – even allowing me to work with pain over twenty years – almost always having business owners whom I worked with also smoked, and I was allowed to smoke in my office. My quality of life has been amazing because of my faith, my wonderful 20 year marriage, my xxxxxxxx doctors, and my ability to find means of comfort / pain control: cigarettes, reading, long hot soaks in a tub, etc. [The government report supports this thesis that cigarettes are an effective tool against pain, and therefore quitting is almost impossible. Weighing the good against the bad is impossible for someone who is not the patient.]
  • Between my husband’s awesome fight against his stage 4 Prostate Cancer, and my own struggle with numerous [4] degenerative diseases, I can see little benefit of creating any misery in my life via attempts to stop a 62 year addiction. I believe we must choose our battles wisely, and pick the ones we have a good chance of success. [The government report supports that under long term stress, cigarette smoking is a stress relieving tool.]

It is my opinion that every person is unique, and treatment plans are also unique to each person. I am defined by much more than my diseases. I do not believe that Dr. xxxxxx was interested in knowing who I am or why smoking cessation is not a good idea for me. None of us live forever. When my Creator takes me home to be with Him will be an occasion for joy. I depend on my physicians to help me live the best quality of life I can live with my [4] degenerative diseases, and my human frailties / faults. We all know there are no cures for any of the degenerative diseases I have.

I do take issue with the propaganda that makes people believe I am a burden on society. I am the good citizen that worked hard for 45 years, and purchased medical insurance for myself and my family. The high rates I paid were to help those less fortunate than myself who did not have insurance. After a little research, I have come to the conclusion that older folks who pass on due to medical diseases, all use much more medical assistance before they pass on – not just the ones that smoke.  …

AND ALMOST AT the end of my long letter I asked these questions:

  • …     Is it XXXXXXXXXXXXXX policy that patients that smoke will not be provided medical services by individual doctors, specialties, or in general?
  • Where individual doctors have a particular prejudice against smokers is it XXXXXXXXXXXX policy to allow these doctors to refuse treatment to patients.  If it is, is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX keeping records of these physicians so that patients that choose to smoke are not referred to them for treatment?
  • Where a patient that chooses to smoke is referred to one of the physicians with significant prejudice regarding smoking does XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX agree that the extent of treatment during these appointments should be to lecture the patient rather than to discuss the medical issue that required the referral, or refer the patient to another doctor in the same specialty that is not so negatively disposed toward patients that choose to smoke? …

THEIR REPLY to my long letter (I saw no reason to share the details of my entire letter in minutia with you – but it was six typed pages in addition to what I have shared with you):

“Ms. Walters – I’m sorry that your visits with XXXX, XXXX and XXXXX were not satisfactory. I have also copied our Medical Director for clinical review.  You should receive a written response from the Medical Director after completion of his review.  Thank you.”

THAT WAS APRIL 3, 2015 and I have not received a response yet.
I will share their response with you when I receive it if possible / plausible.

I see someone posted something in FB about the “death panels” not happening.
It is called Whole Lives Medicine, and if you read Obamacare you will find it. I did spend a couple of paragraphs of my letter saying that Americans do not believe that Americans will allow Whole Lives Medicine to be implemented – especially by Administrators instead of physicians. The first doctor in my letter is basically hoping this will happen so he can tell me he will not treat me. Time will tell if such inhumane acts will be fulfilled as to how it is described in Obamacare.
THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ALL OF US. If they believe they will turn me away because I smoke – soon they will turn you away because you EAT TOO MUCH, or because you race cars / sky dive / play dangerous sports / etc., or because you refuse DNA screening to find out if you have the genes that tell them you will probably have this disease or that disease, NEED I GO ON? Use your imagination. The very young and the old will no longer receive many, many, many procedures, medications, and surgeries if it is implemented. They want to pick and choose who gets the precious medical care available.
These same people who are screaming about equal rights for certain peoples regarding medical care (and other minority choices), are the same ones who want to say medical care will not be wasted on the young, the old, the ones who do not eat and drink as they are told, the ones that DO NOT THINK the way they are told to think, etc. etc. etc. They do not believe in God; they think they are god.

RUNNING IN CIRCLES – NEED YOUR ADVICE

You know I try to write only when I have something to say, and I am still here. When I worked, I worked circles around others, while training them to take my place. Today, the effects of 35 years of illness (and over 20 of those hiding it), and effects of necessary medications, I am more likely running in circles. I love to cook, and it has not escaped me that activity lasts 2 to 3 hours – and there is closure as we eat the things I cook. That equals feeling successful day to day. When I clean out a chest of drawers or a closet, it is such a successful high, I get John to take me out to celebrate. Me getting gussied up to even a fraction of younger glory is cause to have an adult beverage. (That is limited to only one drink a few times a year due to medications.)

What I am doing – to do a NEW set of commentaries  . . .

Writing some commentaries about sin – and I started them yesterday  by writing the introduction. . .

Needed scripture from Matthew, found it, but . . .

Remembered it is one of the books I must study in detail – so far about 8 hrs on Chapter One, and about 2 hrs. on Chapter Two . . .

Had an epiphany about a book need to co – write with John and re – outlined 14 Chapters.

Remembered my Daughter in love gave me a 1938 copy of Crime and Punishment and I still want to read it and I started today, appropriate to the commentaries . . .

AND Here is where I need your wisdom:

There is the HUGE parent / adult child issue with my 36 year old STILL taking up valuable brain time! He apparently doesnt understand respect, in the way I do . . . and the most important difference between talk and action – and I get from him that in some unexplained way it is my fault? Not a chance . . . Action woman here that raised him. Love him. My pendulum was in the other extreme, I could never tell my Mamma no. I need to figure this out so I can let the issue go. Love my kids madly! It would be fair to say that I was the primary working provider in their young lives . . . And also enjoyed their company and being fun Mommy . . . when I wasn’t being Strict Mommy bearer of Consequences!

So here is the issue, and any wise words you could share with me would be appreciated. Oh, not a chance he reads my blog posts, and they are not on FB. He listens to books while driving from business clients to the office to picking up kids to home to wherever . . . Not a reader like me – he does also have his fathers genes.

Issue: If I dont call him, I wouldn’t hear from him but MAYBE 6 times a year. His words: Mom, anyone who talks to me, or sees me, knows they have to call and make an appointment in my life – even my clients know this. I am too busy to remember to call you or stop in to see you. I should clarify that he and his wife own their own business.

When John and I lived 30 minutes away, the excuse was that we just lived too far away. We moved – 8 minutes door to door. He tells me that as he and my grand daughters pass by where we live every day, the girls wave and say, Hi Grandmama in my general direction.

Over the years , I did call him, for him to tell me he had another call, and he would call me back – which he rarely did. Case in point. Even the day at the VA when we learned about my husbands stage 4 cancer, and I excused myself as John was winding up with the doctor – I ran outside crying and called my son, needing his support, and he said he would call me back, but did not. I understand business is important . . . But?

So, recently he expands the ‘you call me’ theory of conduct. Even his martial arts class is a scheduled event 2 nights a week . . . As well as “boys night out ” for him, and “baby sit his own children”  night for his wife to get out. There is church on Wednesdays, and Sundays where he drives the bus to pick up and drop off the old people, and there is their young couples class and church . . . And the various ways in which his wife’ s family depends on him – good example is all those females telling him he will be the one to spend nights in the hospital with his father- in – law because he is so hard to handle. That is a true statement. Saturdays are for all the birthday parties his children attend, and in the evenings the adults socializing with their friends.

I totally get that he is supposed to leave his parents, and cleave unto his wife . . . But I didnt find the part in scripture where you only talk to and see your mother 4 times a year. (Christmas, each grand-girl’s birthday, and the day before Mothers Day.) I have flat out told him that I need his support in my life. He replied that he needed me in his life too. Right . . .

I am so ready to stop feeling hurt over this. About once a day my thoughts go to my son, and in prayer for a happy solution. I was the one who called and planned get togethers for many years. John and I are battling his cancer, my escalated degenerative diseases, and some awful side affects of taking meds long term now. I thought my son would step up and be a uniting force in all this. I did try to say, okay, we will eat dinner, all of us, every Friday, since the rest of the week is filled already with other people and places. It happened once, and I was told we would do it on a Friday to Friday basis because their boys and girls nights out were much needed and on Fridays.

Either the answer to my prayers are no, or The Lord is telling me to be even more patient. OR?

FROM THE HEART – WHAT WE BELIEVE . . .

If I hear one more Christian leader say that all religions worship the same God,
my head may explode.
I tell you with profound confidence that all humanity does not worship my Christian
/ Jewish God – our Creator.
Contradictions in the many religions are not compatible,
and cannot be ignored.
One huge example is how Christians are taught to treat women
VS. how other religions are taught to treat women.
If you do not openly denounce another religion preaching the abuse of women,
you will be held accountable on your day of judgement as if you also abused women.
My Bible tells me, as a Christian, to not be deceived;
for it is our individual responsibility to not be deceived.
When you are held responsible for how you chose to live your life . . .
you will not be able to blame any other person for your choices and beliefs.

WE CANNOT ESCAPE REALITY

Every second of every day you make choices . . .
Every choice you make results in a consequence of your choices . . .
One cannot blame others for the choices they make . . .
Counterfeit life is more often than not a miserable life . . .
Those that choose to lie to others, must accept the rejection when lies come into the light . . .
The truth always emerges . . .
Those that choose to lie to themselves, will experience the result of those lies . . .
No one lives in a vacuum . . .
Those that learn from erroneous choices will grow in character . . .
Those that do not learn from erroneous choices become misguided and shrink in character . . hmmm
Those that remove all exterior ash cans from the public view, cannot complain when the butts of legal cigarettes dot the landscape . . .
We told you that the cigarette issue was the slippery slope of the abuse of government . . .
I love being right, and I wish I had not been right on this one, because we are all suffering . . .
Even those too stubborn or stupid to understand where this slippery slope is leading.
