The President is determined to get gun control passed. Listening to Glenn Beck, I looked up some statistics . . .Someone on the left explain this to me . . . I am asked TO NOT JUDGE all Muslims, because only 7% of American Muslims are openly radical, and terrorist activity against America is primarily from radical Muslims. BUT . . . I am asked TO JUDGE NEGATIVELY all American Gun owners, who are given their rights by our Constitution’s 2nd Amendment, and given their individual mandate to their LIFE, LIBERTY, and Pursuit Of Happiness, because less than 2% of Americans have committed criminal acts with a gun. WHY IS THERE A DOUBLE STANDARD IN AMERICA AGAINST AMERICAN CITIZENS?

Two things I veer away from in blogging are religion and politics – but I like you – you’re a spunky lady with a conviction of your opinions and I love that. Besides I have an aunt who’s a Texas Lady too and she’s one of my favorites. I never thought about the gun issue much when I lived in NYC or NJ. If you heard a gunshot, you knew it was either criminals or cops. Now I’m in SC and everyone here enjoys the right to bear arms and I totally get it. People are responsible here and practice at ranges all the time. They’re not afraid of guns and they shouldn’t be.
The criminals will ALWAYS have guns.
If tougher gun laws are the answer, then I’m left confused – the answer to what? Because the only people who won’t be protected against those gun-toting criminals are the good law-abiding people who register their firearms, who know how to handle them and store them and just want to protect their homes. Insanity. That’s one double standard I can’t get my head wrapped around. Thanks for letting me “vent” my opinion. I look forward to reading more of your blogs.
The conundrum – most Americans are responsible people and capable of self-governing – a moral people. Our Constitutional Republic only works with self-governing people. Those who desire to fundamentally transform America into a socialist 3rd world country – for the very real goal of world governance – POWER – have purposely left our borders open and are allowing too many immigrants in each year,which is insanity, unless you wanted to make sure that at some point 51 % were uneducated and unable to thrive in our system. I have literally watched what has transpired since about 1980, and predicted what is happening . . . while I prayed it wouldn’t.
